ハロウィンになったらこの歌を歌ってみましょう。（もちろん、他の時でもOKです！）　子供にとって、ハロウィンは行事も歌も理解するのが難しいものです。この歌にはハロウィンで使える簡単なフレーズが出てくるので、練習をしておけばハロウィンを初めてやる子供もそのフレーズを使うことにより怖い思いをしないですむかもしれませんね。

Big green monster: Hold your hands up high as if they were two big claws.
Scary witch: Make the shape of a witch's hat over your head with your hands.
Black cat: Swipe your hand as if it were a cat's claw.
White ghost: Hold your hands in front of you as though you are floating like a ghost. )

Activities

“Monster” （モンスター） “cat”（猫）”ghost” （おばけ）と書いてある単語カードと、カードに投げられる柔らかいボールのようなものを用意します。歌詞が “go away” （あっち行って！）の時に歌詞の通り正しいカードに投げられるように子供にボールを渡します。例えば、1番の　”go away, big green monster, go away (GO AWAY!)” （おっきなみどりのモンスター！ あっち行って！ ）の時、子供は”GO AWAY!” で ”monster”（モンスター）の単語カードにボールを投げます。そして、1番が終わったらそのカードはどかして2番を歌います。

ご自宅では、夜中にクロゼットやベッドの下にお化けを見てしまって寝付けなくなってしまった子供に歌ってあげましょう。きっとお化けはすぐにあっちに行って子供はすやすやと眠れることでしょう。
